Ruby Violet Taylor was born to Harry L. and Nellie Taylor in Odin, Illinois, on June 24, 1912. She joined the Methodist church when a small child.

She moved to North Platte, Nebraska, with her father and her brother in 1920. About four years later the family moved to Maywood, Nebraska.

Ruby was married to Floyd L. Larsen of Curtis in November of 1933. To this union were born two sons, Harold LeRoy and Floyd Dale.

She passed away at Ogallala April 5, 1959. She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons and their wives, a granddaughter, Melanie, her father, her brother Nelson, two neices and two nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held at North Platte. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery. Rev. B.H. Hart officiated.
