Services were to be held Monday for James G. Hoppes, 88, who died Friday in a Cozad nursing home. He was born Jan. 16, 1889, at Norcatur, Kan. He was a longtime resident of Farnam and was a member of the Farnam United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John (Bessie) Frew of Eustis, Mrs. Philip (Berniece) Hueftle of Ogallala, and Mrs. Paul (Doris) Hueftle of Kearney; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchilden.

Services were at the Farnam United Methodist Church, Monday afternoon, with the Rev. Leonard Clark officiating.

Burial was in the Farnam cemetery. Berryman Funeral Home, Eustis, was in charge of funeral arrangements.
