OBITUARY

Mrs. Arthur Hilton


Sadie Hilton, nee Murray, was born at Pleasantville, Iowa, July 15, 1868. She passed to her reward on March 25, 1931, at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 10 days.

In 1885 she came to Nebraska and on December 29, 1887 she was united in marriage to Mr. Arthur Hilton, of Seward, Nebr. They lived in Cordova, Nebr. until 1893 when they moved to Gothenburg, Nebr. Soon thereafter they homesteaded near Farnam, Nebr., where they lived until about a month ago, when they moved to Lexington.

To this happy union, eight children were born, six of who survive.

The deceased was a faithful wife, a kind and loving mother, and a good neighbor. She was a good Christian woman, loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Those who survive and mourn departure are her faithful husband, Mr. Arthur Hilton, one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Devine of Farnam, Nebr. Five sons, Charles Clarence and Elmer Roy of Farnam, Nebr., Albert Harry and Roy William of Lexington, Nebr., twelve grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. T.H. Mastellar of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Mrs. Hattie Deed, Berwyn, Nebr., besides other relatives and friends.

A short service was conducted in the late home, in Lexington, by Rev. B. Johansen, the regular service was held in Farnam, on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 1931 with Rev. C. R. Tanner in charge at the Methodist church. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
