Andrew F. Hazen, 62, a life time resident of the Farnam community passed away March 1, 1965, at the Gothenburg Memorial hospital after a long illness. He was born on April 15, 1901 to James and Lydia Hazen of Farnam. He was a member of the St. Matthews Episcopal church.

He was married to Evelyn Smallfoot of Farnam on March 21, 1929, to which were born two sons.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn: two sons, Virgil of Arlington, Texas, and John of Farnam; two daughters-in-law, Janice and children of Arlington, Texas, and Donna of Farnam; one brother, Murlin of Farnam; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Roberts of Boulder, Colo., and Mrs. Velma Mousel of Cambridge, Nebraska.

Services were held Thursdsay at 2:00 p.m. at the McVay-Olesen Funeral Chapel in Gothenburg with the Rev. Father Donald J. West of McCook officiating. Pallbearers were: Harold Adkisson, Ralph Clement, Paul Rogers, Lynn Messersmith and Loyd Hopkins. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
