Elma T. (Brown) Haskins
Elma T. Haskins passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday morning, December 4, 1943 at the age of fifty-four years, four months, and four days. She had been suffering for several months from heart trouble but her sudden death was a severe shock to her family and friends.
Mrs. Haskns, the youngest of three children, was born at Farnam, Nebraska on July 29, 1889. Her parents Henry and Katherine Brown, and one brother, Burton, have preceded her in death.
She lived at Farnam until the winter of 1922, when she moved to North Platte. There she was united in marriage to Henry S. Haskins on April 9, 1924. They returned to Farnam in 1939 and have resided on the farm southwest of town since.
Early in life she consecrated her life to her Savior and has always been a true believer.
Her troubles and trials of life are over, but her cheerfulness, her generosity, and her thoughtfulness of others will always be remember by those who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband, one sister, Mrs. Hennrietta Beisner, two daughters, Mrs. Garnette Brannan and Mrs. Hilda Beisner, two sons, Carol and Theron, and six grandchildren, all of North Platte, other relatives and a host of friends.
The body was prepared for burial by the Chester Hugo Mortuary and funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday after noon with Rev. E. H. Tipton, pastor of the church officiating.
