Funeral Services for Mrs. Emery Golay

Mrs. E. D. Golay passed away at her home northeast of town last Friday morning at 2 a.m., after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, with a short service at the home, followed by a service at the Episcopal churh, conducted by Bishop Geo. A. Beecher of Hastings. Burial was in the Farnam cemetery.

Alice Cedar was born near Farnam, Nebraska August 5, 1893 and departed this life Nov. 13, 1936, at the age of 43 years, 3 months and 8 days. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Episcopal church when a child. She was a member of the Easter Rebekah lodge of Farnam, and took an active part in other organizations in the community.

She was united in marriage to Emery Golay of Minden, Nebr., Dec. 24, 1914. To this union were born one daughter and two sons.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. (Marion) McNickle and one son, Jack, age 2½ years. One son, Max, preceeded her in death, six years ago. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cedar, preceeded her several years.
