Obituary

Dora Piel Crisman, daughter of Dora and John Piel was born in Adams county, Nebraska , April 24, 1876, and departed from this life September 8, 1950, at the age of 74 years, 4 months, 14 days.

She grew to womanhood in Adams county and was united in marriage to Wm. R. Crisman September 6, 1906, making Hastings their home. To this union was born three children: Frank Samuel and Mrs. Dorothy Jurjens of Farnam and Gerald R. of Gothenburg.

She became a member of the Christian church in Hastings in 1926 and remained a faithful christian until her passing.

She moved with her family near Farnam in 1936.

To mourn her death she leaves her husband, three children, five grandchildren, two sisters: Agnes Clark of Los Angeles and Lilian Beal of Lincoln; two brothers: John of Blue Hill and Jules of Mullen; besides a number of nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.

The funeral service was conducted at the local Nazarene church Monday afternoon with Rev. Noble V. Hunt as the officiating minister.

A trio composed of Earl Rice, Mrs. Noble Hunt, Mrs. Paul Sukraw sang ‘The Haven of Rest’ and ‘Eastern Gate’ accompanied by Virginia Rice.

Interment awas in Farnam cemetery supervised by McVay funeral home.
