Katherine L. (Cole) Brown, was born in 1858 and died at her home in North Platte, June 29, 1938, following an illness which had extended over a period of several months. She was one of a family of six daughters and two sons. Her parents, five sisters and two brothers, having preceded her in death. Mrs. Brown joined church in her early girlhood.

Survivors include her husband, Henry N. Brown; two daughters, Henrietta Beisner and Elma Haskins; a son, Berton Brown, all of North Platte.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the M. E. church in Farnam. There was a brief prayer service at the Funeral Home after which the funeral cortege proceeded to Farnam. Rev. Craig, long time friend of the family, officiated assisted by Rev. Johnson of Farnam. The Royal Neighbors of North Platte conducted the service at the grave.

Pallbearers were Virgil Brannan, Donald Beisner, Clyne Beisner, Cleon Brown, Theron and Carol Haskins. Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery.
