E. B. DUNHAM

E. B. Dunham is another old timer in this country. He came to Old Keystone in 1885 and purchased the drug store of Dr. Wm. P. Smith who had opened a branch of his Gothenburg [drug] store in the "Capt" Smith store. When the new town was started, Mr. Dunham built a store in Farnam and sent for his family. His wife came with a small baby (Sidney) which created quite and excitement among the bachelors, and a a gang of them appeared at the drug store and insisted that Mrs. Dunham appear and show the baby, which she did to an admiring crowd. They afterward built the house now occupied by Mrs. Dora Johnston. Mr. Dunham and family moved to Omaha about 1901, where he had some property. He moved to Lincoln a few years later and was drowned in Capital Beach lake while swimming. The family now reside in Long Beach, Calif.
