D E D I C A T I O N

We have found pleasure in the work of printing this Fiftieth anniversary edition of The Farnam Echo. It is new work for us but it has brought us to realize more clearly the hardships and the courage which was required by the pioneers in the early years of the settlement of the community.

We feel that it is only appropriate that this edition be dedicated to these pioneers of Farnam and community, that settled here and built up a community, such as we have today. The comforts and the benefits which this generation now enjoy are largely due to the efforts of those of fifty years ago, and the few years following.

We therefore dedicate this anniversary issue to those pioneers of stamina and courage, both living and dead, who converted a raw prairie into a vast agricultural region, and a land of happy homes.
