Commencement - 1946
Commencement exercises were held for the 1946 graduating class of the Farnam high school at the school auditorium last Thursday night and was enjoyed by a large number of interested persons.
The address was given by Philip Johnson of the McCook school who expressed some very good thoughts. Other numbers on the program were the processional and recessional by Mrs. Whitney, invocation by Rev. McCaig, two songs by the girls chorus, salutatory oration by Burnell Saum, validictory oration by Lois Oberg, presentation of diplomas by John Rowland for the board of education, presentation of scholarships by Supt. Kriemelmeyer, song by the graduates and benediction by Rev. Rodewald.
This year’s class is composed of thirteen students, six boys and seven girls, and are John W. Banks, Carl Brown, Vivian Caster, Ruth Fenton, Gene Hoppe, Archie Howat, Anton Kotschwar, Helen McKain, Lois Oberg, Dorothy Jean Rine, Burnell Saum, Imo Jean Wear and Yvonne Wiggers.
