Farnam Boys Called


Volunteers in Farnam and vicinity, who are enlisted in the Fifth Regiment received orders Sunday to report for duty. The regulars were ordered to report at Gothenburg at 8 o’clock Monday morning, while members of the hospital corps were ordered to report at Lincoln Sunday, but for some reason they did not receive word until late Sunday afternoon, consequently could not leave Farnam until Monday morning.

Those who have answered the call from this locality to date are:

Charles Owens, Leroy Lapp, Cecil Williams, Walter Waits, Willis E. Bowling, Arthur Beye, Edward Davidson, Carl Johnson, Elmer Johnson, Clifford Nickerson, Howard Nickerson; company L 5th Reg. Gothenburg.

Loren H. Fitch, Owen T. Thompson, John Rowland, Dwight Stebbins, Harold Buss; Field Hospital corps 5th Reg. Lincoln.
