Obituary Collection
Myrtle Austin

Myrtle Austin passed away at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital on Monday March 10th. She was 88. Services were Wednesday afternoon at the United Methodist church with Rev. L. Robert Holbrook officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Cozad, Neb.

Myrtle May Austin was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Miller at Farnam on May 25, 1891. She was a homemaker and mother. She spent all of her lifetime in the Farnam-Gothenburg area and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four sons, George Austin of Enumclaw, Wash., Ernest Austin of Sacramento, Calif., Ira Austin of Mission, Kansas, Robert Austin of Louisville, Kentucky; three daughters, Olive Rubenthaler of Gothenburg, Mrs. David (Ellen) Wiltrout of Juniata, and Mrs. Patrick (Darlene) Mobley of Kennewick, Wash. 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clifford Geiken was the organist and M. A. Rishel was the soloist.

Casket bearers were Mark Austin, Ramsey Austin, Steve Austin, David Wiltrout, Gordon Rubenthaler, Daniel Rubenthaler, Jack Rubenthaler, and LaVern Wiltrout.
