Obituary Collection
Walter Waits Dies

Walter Waits, 55, resident of the San Luis Obispo area for the past year, died Saturday evening in a local hospital following a short illness. He was born May 1, 1895, in Nebraska.

A barber by trade, he and his wife, Ada Waits, had recently moved to Baywood Park. He was a veteran of World War I and served as a sergeant in the AEF army of occupation.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Frank of Antioch and Ted of Kearney, Nebr.; three sisters, Mrs. Ona Goeltl of Loveland, Mrs. Mayme Henderson of Chickasha, Okla. and Mrs. Myrtle Bailey of Grenacres, Wash.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Palmer-Walters chapel with burial in the IOOF memorial cemetery.—San Luis Obispo, Calif, Telegram–Tribune
