Mrs. Beye Passed Away
In Iowa

Mrs. Herman Beye, 72, of Melbourne, Iowa died Friday, May 31, 1963.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at Pursel-Davis Memorial Chapel with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

She was born Daisy D. Baker, Dec. 2, 1890, daughter of Henry Thomas and Mary Baker, in Farnam, Nebraska, where she was graduated from high school. She later attended Normal School at Lexington, Nebr. and taught in the rural schools of Frontier and Dawson counties before her marriage to Herman Beye August 10, 1916.

They farmed near Farnam until 1938 when they moved south of Laurel until retiring in 1953 and moved to Melbourne.

Mrs. Beye was a member of the Farnam Methodist church.

Survivors are the widower, and two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Howard, Melbourne, and Mrs. Gordon McDowell of Mechaicsville, and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Bessie Gardner of Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Dora Whitney of Cozad; Mrs. Mae Litchenburg and Clifford Baker of Gothenburg and Mrs. George Burchell of Minden.

Two brothers preceded her in death.
