Audrey L. Tabor

Audrey L. Tabor, 77, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died July 21st, 2015, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital. Audrey was born March 2nd, 1938, west of Gothenburg, to Oscar and Tina (Duis) Cumpston. She was raised on a farm near Farnam, Nebraska and attended rural school.

Audrey married Milton Howell on December 26th, 1964. The couple resided on a farm site north west of Cozad and later moved to Gothenburg in 1982. Milton died in 1988. She married Earl Tabor on April 9th, 1998 and moved to Farnam. Audrey was a member of the Nazarene Church at Farnam, The Crossing Church at Gothenburg and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Dennis; granddaughter, Misty; grandson, Anthony and two brothers, Roger and Gerald Cumpston.

Survivors include two sons, Matt (Kim) Howell of Gothenburg, Pat Howell of Cozad; two stepsons, Marvin (Sandy) Tabor of Kimball, Richard (Charlotte) Tabor of Douglas, Wyoming; two stepdaughters, Sandy (Pat) Glenn of Piqua, Ohio; Dianna (Paul) Linnemeyer of Farnam; daughter-in-law, Robin Howell of Gothenburg; four grandchildren, Heather Howell of Gothenburg; LaTasha Howell of Gothenburg; Tyler Bihlmeier of Gothenburg; Ashley Howell of Gothenburg; multiple step grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Cumpston of Gothenburg; one sister, Mary (David) McKim of Maxwell; sister-in-laws, Lou Cumpston of Kearney; Jane Cumpston of Colorado Springs and numerous other family members and friends.

Services were held Friday, July 24th, 2015 at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad. Burial followed at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Berryman Funeral Home, was is in charge of arrangements.
