Adnelle Christine Hudson

Adnelle Christine Hudson, 90, of Lexington died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Reverend John Craig will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. There will be no visitation. It was Adnelle's desire her body be cremated.

Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan (Dennis) Moore of Wahoo, and Sandra (Jerry) Martin of Fairbury; nine grandchildren, Tyler (Mary Kay) Martin of Fremont, Calif., Mitchell (Janey) Martin of Shrewsbury, Mass., Jody (John) Tuerff of Lincoln, Marilee (Dave) Malcom of Eustis, Sharon (Bruce) Hueftle of Eustis, Deb (Vonn) Roberts of Lincoln, Mark (Virginia) Johnson of Kearney, Pam (Fred) Maloley of Lexington, and Rick (Darcy) Johnson of Culbertson; three step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hudson; her parents; a sister, Ina Hustead; and a daughter, Judy Johnson.

Adnelle was born June 7, 1915, at Ravenna to Martinus and Hulda (Ruthstrom) Envoldsen. She and her family moved to the Farnam area when she was a child. She attended Gothenburg and Farnam schools, graduating from Farnam High School in 1932.

On Oct. 3, 1935, she married Kenneth Hudson. They lived in Farnam and worked in the family business until 1956, when they moved to Lexington, where she was manager of the newly opened Montgomery Ward catalog store. Kenneth passed away in 1967.

During her time of residency in Lexington, she worked with Health and Human Services in the county and state levels, retiring in 1977. After retirement, she pleasantly spent winters in Arizona and the last few years at Park Avenue Estates in assisted living.

Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Public Library or the donor's choice.
