Erma (Clement) Holbein

Erma Holbein, 89 of Eustis, Nebraska, died December 4, 2005, at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington, Nebraska.

She was born December 28, 1915, at Farnam, Nebraska, to Oliver and Josephine Hirschmiller Clement. She attended rural school near Farnam and graduated from Farnam High School.

On October 13, 1937, she married Walter Holbein and they made they home on a farm site northeast of Eustis until 1991, when they moved to Eustis. Mr. Holbein preceded her in death in 1995. She had made her home in Lexington for the past 11 months.

During her lifetime, she had enjoyed gardening, flowers and time spent with her family. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Oliver (DeeAnn) Holbein of Cozad; three daughters, Patricia (Loran) Naber of Petersburg, Nebraska, Sharon (Fred) Kloepping of Eustis, and Karon (Russ) Spradlin of Cozad; 12 grandchildren, Justin Holbein, Larissa (Mat) Banitt, Brendon Holbein, Cristina (Jessie) Gomez, Kory Naber, Bryce (Mandy) Naber, Nicole (Eric) Ruskamp, Amber, Boni and Ross Spradlin and Wade and Gina Kloepping and seven great-grandchildren, David, Laura, Jessica and Twila Gomez, Kalli and Emily Naber and Madyson Banitt.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Morris, Ben and Ralph; and an infant brother, Burton.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

Memorial services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eustis with Pastor Ruth Boettcher officiating. Inurnment was in the East Cemetery at Eustis.

Berryman Funeral Home of Cozad was in charge of arrangements.
