Larry R. Hansen, 63, Lincoln, died Monday (3-7-11). Born (4-1-47) in Curtis, Neb. to Raymond and Ethel (Grannis) Hansen. Insurance Sales with Farm Bureau Insurance Company. U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Member: Faith Bible Church, former member, Benkelman American Legion Post, past commander, Benkelman VFW Post, past president, Benkelman Chamber of Commerce, volunteer, Benkelman Fire Dept, member SWADC (Southwest Area Development Corporation), former Deacon and Elder, Benkelman Presbyterian Church, past president, Dundy County Fair Board, former girls softball and basketball coach, member, Husker Event Staff, volunteer, Army National Guard.

Family members include wife Betty; daughters, son-in-law, Tawnya Hansen, St. Charles, Mo., Darla and Kerry Harms, Carterville, Ill.; grandchildren, Joshua and Caleb Harms; mother, Ethel Hansen, Lincoln; sister, brother-in-law, Susan and Don Pearman, Mullen, Neb.; Larry's nieces, nephews, spouses, RaeAnn and Nick Frahley, Melissa and Simon Fenton, all of Lincoln, Chad Pearman, North Platte; Betty's nieces and nephew, Donna Krause, Patty Ernst, Deb Priester, Dorothy Hiserote, Helen Rosso, Karen Hall, Allen Angeloff, Ronda Willmott; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Raymond Hansen.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (3-12-11) Faith Bible Church, 6201 South 84th Street. Pastor Tom Rempel, officiating. Burial, 1 p.m. Tuesday (3-15-11) Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, with full military honors conducted by North Platte Military Honors Team. Visitation: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Roper and Sons, 4300 'O' Street and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials to Wounded Warriors Project, P. O.
