Patricia A. Brown

AMITY, Ore. — Patricia A. Brown, 60, of Amity, Ore., formerly of Sutherland, died Aug. 2, 2003, at her home in Amity.

She was born Aug. 27, 1942, to Vernon and Ethel McNickle Thomsen in Holdrege. She lived in Nebraska most of her young life. She graduated from Sutherland High School in 1960. She attended the Business School of Commerce at Omaha.

She married her first husband and moved to California, where her first child, Rod Fisher was born in 1963. Later that year they returned to Nebraska, where her second child, Sheila Fisher was born in 1964. In 1966, they moved to McMinnville. Her first husband preceded her in death in 1975.

In 1977, she married Charles V. Brown in Maxwell. In 1979, they moved back to McMinnville and in 1985, they bought a house in Whiteson, Ore., where they lived until 1990. Then they moved back to Nebraska and stayed for three years. They returned to Whiteson/Amity area in 1993 and remained there for the rest of her life.

Mrs. Brown enjoyed reading, crocheting, solving crosswords and spending time with her grandson.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; a daughter, Sheila K. Fisher of Amity; a son, Roderick Fisher of Amity; parents, Ethel and Vernon Thomsen of Sutherland; two sisters, Janice Adam of North Platte and Kim Marie Miller of Lincoln; a brother, Kennith Thomsen of North Platte; and a grandson.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Thomsen; a brother, Dennis Thomsen; and her grandparents.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Association or Hospice Legacy of Oregon.

There will be no services. Burial will be in the Amity Cemetery in Amity, Ore.. Macy & Son Funeral Home in McMinnville, Ore. is in charge.
