Dorrance C. Arnold

Dorrance C. Arnold died Thursday (April 28, 2005) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney at the age of 82.
He was born April 29, 1922, in Frontier County to Curtis and Lillian (Summers) Arnold. He grew up in Frontier County and graduated from Orafino High School in 1940.
He entered the U.S. Army Aircorp serving during World War II.
On Oct. 6, 1944, he married Evelyn Klooz in Oberlin. They spent their married lives farming in the Orafinon and Farnam communities. He retired in 2001.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Farnam and a member of the Farm Bureau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clarence Arnold, Chester Arnold, Dorsey Arnold, Eugene Arnold; two sisters, Gladys Arnold and Ferne Clapp.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Arnold of Farnan; two sons, Harvey Arnold and wife, Jerri and Marvin Arnold, all of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Travis Arnold, Eric Arnold and Christopher Arnold; one brother, Richard Arnold and wife, Donna of Sun City, Ariz., and two sisters, Phyllis Snider and husband, Ivan of Beaver City and Ruth Gregg and husband, Darrell of Bertrand; relatives and friends.
Services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at Farnam Church of the Nazarene in Farnam with Pastor Larry Harper officiating. Interment will be in the Orafino Cemetery in Orafinio.
Memorials may be given in his name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home in McCook.
