Terry William Fritz

U.S. Veteran Terry William Fritz, 58, passed away March 25, 2008 at his home in Farnam after a battle with cancer.

Terry was born April 16, 1949 to Earl & Jean (Gugelman) Fritz at Lexington, NE. The family lived at Orafino until 1966 when they moved to Farnam. Terry graduated from Farnam High School in 1967. After graduation he attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for 2 years, then served in the United States Marines from 1970-1972.

After his discharge from the Marines, he lived in Denver, CO; Cheyenne, WY and Houston, TX working in construction. On February 14, 1976 he married Vicki Minges in Houston, TX. To this union two sons were born: Jeremy William and Joshua Earl. In 1979 they moved to Farnam where Terry owned and operated Fritz Construction.

Terry was a member of the EUB Church of Orafino. He enjoyed hard work and gardening. He loved his family and his dog Pepper.

Terry was preceded in death by his son Jeremy, his dad Earl, sister-in-law Shawn Poorman, niece Kacy Taylor, great nephew Keegan Taylor, and both sets of grandparents.

Terry is survived by his wife Vicki of Farnam; son Joshua of Indianapolis, IN; mother Jean Fritz of North Platte, father & mother in-law Bill & Shirley Minges of Farnam; 4 sisters: Vicki Fritz of Potomac Falls, VA; Connie (Larry) Taylor of Moorefield, NE; Denise (Stan) Reed of Oak Harbor, WA; and Tonya (Tony) Hergenrader of North Platte; and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm-8:00 pm with the family present from 1:00 until 3:00 pm Thursday, March 27 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 10:30 am at the Farnam United Methodist Church, Farnam, Nebraska, with Pastor Tess Hufford officiating.

Burial will take place in the Farnam Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Farnam Cemetery.
