Winnie Workman was born in Watson, Missouri on June 16, 1886 and passed away at his home south of Farnam on July 3, 1944, as the result of being struck on the head by lightning while operating a tractor in his field.

He leaves to mourn his passing besides his wife and children, one brother, R. L. Workman of Fullerton. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. He leaves a family of relatives who loved him and a host of friends who cherished him as a kindly neighbor and upright citizen. He came to Frontier county in 1907.

Funeral services were held in the Farnam Methodist Church Friday afternoon with Rev. E. H. Tipton and Rev. L. A. Moore officiating.

Burial was in the family lot in the Farnam Cemetery.
