Alma Blanche Whelan
Alma Blanche Whelan was born in Farnam, Nebr., Dec. 21, 1914. She was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Whelan. She had been a constant sufferer for about four weeks, and made a desperate struggle for life, but with her weakened condition she was overtaken by death, April 6, 1918, age three years, three months and eight days.
All that loving hands could do to keep her was done, but when the Summons came she answered the call and went into the presence of Him, who doeth all things well. There is a vacant place in the heart and home, but in heaven the place is made glad by the angels of God; while the home is broken here on earth there is a home started in heaven, beckoning loved ones to come this way.
She leaves to mourn, a father, mother, sister and brother, three grandparents and a host of other relatives.
The funeral services were held from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet. Burial was made in the Farnam cemetery.
