Obituary Collection
Harry Byron Taylor

Harry Byron Taylor was born May 28th, 1873 near Bradford, Pennsylvania.

He came to Nebraska with his parents about 1883 and they settled in Dawson county on the ranch which is 3 miles east of Farnam.

He was united in marriage with Gertrude Dryden in 1902. They lived on the ranch until 1923 when they moved to their present home in Farnam. He became ill on the 25th of Sept. and seemed to be recovering but grew suddenly worse and passed away on [Oct.] 7.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, his son Byron, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Monday at the home, with the Rev. S. H. Bean of North Platte conducting the service. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery under the direction of Olesen Funeral Home.

When earth’s last picture is painted, and the tubes are twisted and dried,
When the oldest colors have [faded] and the youngest critic has died,
We shall rest, and faith, we shall need it—lie down for an aeon or two,
Till the Master of All Good Workmen shall put us to work anew. [Rudyard Kipling]
