Obituary Collection
Julia (Moore) Stebbins

Julia Moore was born in Parker City, Penn., May 11, 1872 and died at her home in Farnam February 9, 1926 age 53 years, 8 months and 29 days.

When about 12 years of age she with her parents moved to Dawson County, Nebraska, settling on a homestead a few miles northwest of Farnam. Here she grew to young womanhood and was united in marriage to Orvill R. Stebbins Oct. 25, 1892.

To this union were born two children, Wm. LeRoy and Orrie. Wm. LeRoy died in the service of his country Oct. 28, 1918. The news and shock of the loss of her son, was the beginning of Mrs. Stebbins illness.

When just a young girl Julia was converted and joined the Congregational church, later transferring her membership to the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she was a consistent and true member until her death, and left a testimony that her Savior was waiting to receive her into the church Triumphant above.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, O. R. Stebbins and son Orrie, one full sister, Mrs. Laura Stebbins of Farnam, her mother, Mrs. Laura J. Moore of Neodesha, Kans., three half sisters, Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Kammerer of Neodesha, Kans., Mrs. Ashley of Blackwell, Okla., and three half brothers, N. H. Moore of Electra, Texas, R. T. Moore of Hominy, Okla., and Harry Moore of Neodesha, Kansas, and three grandchildren, besides a large circle of very warm friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were conducted from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Revs. Seick and Craig officiating. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.

And now from out the glory,
In living clouds of light,
The old familiar faces come
Beaming on her sight:
The early lost, the early loved,
The friends of long ago----
Companions of her pilgrimage
And conflicts here below.

They parted here in weakness,
In suffering and in gloom;
They meet amid the freshness
Of heaven’s immortal boon,
Henceforth in ever-during bliss
To wander hand in hand
Beside the living waters
Of that still and sinless land.

O, who can tell the rapture
Of those to whom ‘tis given
Thus to renew the bonds of earth
Amid the bliss of Heaven?
