Mrs. Cliff Reynolds Dies

Mrs. Cliff Reynolds died very unexpectedly at her home north of Farnam Monday night at 10:15 after a few days sickness. She was 62 years of age, having been born at Ohiowa, Nebraska, May 30, 1891.

She leaves two sons, Keith of Sacramento, California, and Dean of Farnam and one daughter, Mrs. Ellis Widick of Farnam. Also four sisters, Mrs. Morris Wyckoff of Farnam, Mrs. Glen Dawson of of Santa Ana, California, Ella Kister of Denver and Mrs. C. J. Rodham of Safford, Arizona, and one brother, Henry Gewecke of Farnam.

Funeral services are incomplete but will be conducted from Olesen’s funeral home to the Nazarene church with Rev. McCroskey officiating.

OBITUARY


Elizabeth Mary Gewecke, daughter of Adolph and Elizabeth Barschfeldt Gewecke, was born May 30, 1891, on a farm near Ohiowa, Nebraska. She departed this life at her home near Farnam November 23, 1953, at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 24 days.

She had been in ill health for some time but her sudden death came as a severe shock to her family and friends.

She moved with her parents to Moorefield early in her youth and then to a farm near Ingham. At the time of her marriage she moved to the community north of Farnam where she spent the remainder of her life.

On February 22, 1911, she was united in marriage with Clifford A. Reynolds. To this union were born one daughter, Mrs. Lois Widick of Farnam and two sons, Keith of Sacramento, California and Dean of Farnam.

She was baptized in her infancy in the Lutheran Church of Ohiowa and has been a faithful Christian these many years.

She served as a teacher in the Methodist Sunday School for several years and held other official offices. At the time of her death she was an active member of Farnam Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the North Union Aid society, a faithful wife, a loving member, a good neighbor and a friend to all.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, her daughter Lois and husband Ellis, son Keith and wife Irene, son Dean and wife Phyllis, four sisters, Ella Kister of Denver, Colorado, Clara Wyckoff of Farnam, Rose Dawson of Santa Ana, Calif., and Ann Rodham of Safford, Ariz., one brother Henry Gewecke of Farnam, four grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

Preceding here in death were her parents, her brother Oscar and sister Louise.

Funeral services under the direction of Olesen Funeral Home were held from the Reynolds home to the Church of the Nazarene Friday afternoon, November 27, with Rev. W. R. McCroskey and Rev. B. H. Hart officiating. Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Jim Eckstein, Harold Lehman, Jay Rice, Arch Jorgensen, Elgie Thompson and Harve McNickle.

The singers were David Banks, Mrs. Charles Davis, Mrs. Hugo Blomquist and Dan McNickle with Mrs. Jay Rice as pianist.
