Obituary Collection
Ruth (Henderson) Earhart

Ruth Henderson Earhart, daughter of Samuel and Clara Henderson, was born in Ainsworth, Iowa, on March 2, 1893, and passed from this life on August 31, 1980 at the Gothenburg Hospital at the age of 87 years.

On September 23, 1911, she was united in marriage to Ralph Earhart and to this union four children were born. They made their home in Iowa before moving to Nebraska and finally settling in the Farnam community over 60 years ago.

Ruth was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Farnam and was actively involved for many years in this organization.

She was a very caring person and devoted many years as a helping hand, offering personal nursing services and assisting many people in the community in thier hour of need. Her kind service to others with or without compensation was missed during her later years. But, the memory of her service will never be forgotten by her friends, the families she served, and her family. Her grandchildren especially cherish the memories at Grandmother's house when younger, and later the family reunions.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1953 and a son, Kenneth, in 1978.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Mrs. Ceora Brock of Gothenburg and Mrs. Mildred Brouillette of Farnam; one son, Keith Earhart of Fresno, California; one brother, Fred Henderson of Sun City, California; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives; and a host of friends.
