Spencer Boyd Cameron

S. B. Cameron, one of the older residents of Farnam, died at his home here Saturday evening after having been in failing health for more than a year, the past month of which time he has been confined to his home.

Spencer Boyd Cameron was born in Polk county, Tennessee on January 27, 1863, and departed this life at his home in Farnam July 10, 1943.

He came to this state when he was twenty-one years of age and was married to Julia Hellen Wills on April 10, 1895. To this union two sons were born. Walter died in 1921 and Harold now resides in Washington, D.C. He leaves his wife and his son Harold to mourn his death.

The deceased lived for sixty years in Nebraska and has for thirty-five years resided in Farnam. He was a typical pioneer and was always alert and aware of changing conditions. He was a fine citizen and had the respect of everyone who knew him. As a figure in the public life of the community he will be missed, and his family sorrow greatly at his passing.

Funeral services under the directions of the Chester Hugo Funeral Home. Services were held at the home Monday afternoon with Rev. S. Mitchell of Beaver City, Nebraska officiating, assisted by Rev. Tipton of Farnam. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers were John Rowland, Ollie Ludvik, Wayne Parker, Dan McNickle, Dwight Stebins, and Owen Thompson.
